Cádiz (Andalusia, South to Spain). In a coastal city that its ports and docks are the key to control all the goods and merchandise landed there, live three lifelong friends: Mateo, Juan and Benito. Mateo is a Galician (nicknamed 'Gallego' because of it) who works as captain of the Civil Guard, charged with the task to stop the emerging drug-trafficking in the city. Juan, a Basque-born former fisher and drug dealer too tries to survive in a bad time without legal work, who starts to have serious troubles with Hoffman, another drug dealer who aspires to rule the whole city.
